I heard from a friend of Bill Bachman's sister, Anne, that he died of an abdominal aortic aneurysm on February 10, 2022, in Florida.  He is survived by his wife Barbara Bell Bachman and two children.  Bill and Barbara (RHS Class of 1961) were high school sweethearts.  Bill was a good friend of mine and a terrific athlete.  I remember he could really jump as if he had springs in his legs.  He went on to be an outstanding track and field long jumper at RHS and Western Michigan University.  Bill will be missed by friends and family.
