About My Career:
I was a country potter in a village in Canada while my daughter, Lisa, was growing up. Then I worked at historic Pewabic Pottery in Detroit for three years (on four People Mover murals; I designed the one at Cadillac Station). Then I went to graduate school in upstate New York (at the same time that my daughter entered college :). Soon after earning my M.F.A. I was hired at Eastern Michigan University, where I taught for 28 years, until 2019, when I retired ;) During those years I made lots of pots and sculpture,
and also about 5 more murals, mostly in downtown Detroit hospitals. Time flies!
